Plants 14–40+ cm. Stems 1–30 (–50), not densely woolly among proximal leaves. Leaves crowded (internodes not evident), blades linear, linear-oblanceolate, oblanceolate, or spatulate, usually densely glanddotted. Involucres 5–10 × 7–12 mm. Ray corollas 9.5–22 mm. Disc corollas 2.8–3.5 mm. 2n = 30, 60.


Phenology: Flowering (Jan–)Mar–Jun(–Dec).
Habitat: Roadsides, hillsides, pastures, open areas, edges of woods
Elevation: 300–2400 m
